Three commitments

People first, extreme ownership. I coach engineers toward the next version of themselves and I own the outcome regardless of where the failure started. A team that trusts its manager will tell the truth about estimates, incidents, and what they do not know. That truth is where velocity comes from.

Proof over claims. I measure adoption and outcomes with platform data, not sentiment, and I share the numbers inside the company, including the ones that are not flattering. Every number on this site is there because the step behind it was measured.

Capability gained, not chaos. Nobody on my teams was replaced by AI. We raised our ambitions instead: bigger roadmap, faster delivery, and engineers doing more of the work they joined to do. The transformation is a leadership job, and it only holds if people come out of it stronger.

Career arc

From cloud platforms to mission-critical systems

I lead engineering for a real-time, mission-critical platform, the kind where an outage has consequences for real people and reliability is not a feature to trade against speed. Before that I built and led teams at Oracle and Keller Williams, with earlier stops at Macmillan Learning and Rackspace, working on cloud platforms and consumer-facing products at very different scales.

The foundation underneath the leadership is distributed systems: multi-region cloud architecture, real-time delivery, and the on-call discipline that comes with it. One of those redesigns raised platform resiliency by 35%, which means systems that stay up during the events they were built for.

The range is deliberate. I spent years as a UX design instructor and taught 500+ students how to design interfaces people can use under stress. That shows up in how my teams build: interfaces people trust in high-pressure moments, and internal tools engineers actually want to adopt.
